Following is the schedule of tuition charges for the Minnesota State Universities:

Reciprocal agreements regarding tuition have been reached with North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Manitoba. Residents of those states are eligible to pay home-resident tuition rates when attending St. Cloud State University. To be eligible, students must complete a reciprocity application and that application must be approved by their home state. Reciprocity applications are available through the specific state's reciprocity office and should be completed at the time the student receives notice of acceptance to St. Cloud State University. All students granted a graduate assistantship at St. Cloud State University pay resident tuition.
MnSCU Policy 5.12 stipulates that students are responsible for paying tuition and fees for those courses and credits for which they are enrolled at 11:59 p.m. the sixth day of classes. Failure to pay tuition and fees by the due date will result in a $30 late payment fee.
Every semester ten (10) days after financial aid is applied a payment plan fee will be charged to all student accounts that have a balance remaining.
A payment plan fee will be charged to a student's account each semester when there is an outstanding balance remaining 10 days after financial aid is applied. The payment plan fee is currently $30 and is subject to change without notice.
Payment plan fees apply to all University charges 10 days after financial aid is applied for each semester. The Director of Business Services is the only person authorized to waive a payment plan fee.
Student activity fees, MSUSA, facilities assessment, and computer fees are assessed to students on the basis of $28.32 per credit hour, up to 12 credit hours, and $4.71 per credit hour after 12 credits.

Exceptions: Fees will not be charged for:
- Courses offered by Continuing Studies or other off-campus courses as defined by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) Board.
- Courses numbered 495, 595 or 695 (workshops).
- Courses numbered 488 or 588 (television).
- Courses numbered 410 or 510 (tours).
Senior citizens. Minnesota residents that are age 62 or older. Senior Citizens are charged a $20 per credit administrative fee plus minimal standard fees to attend "for credit" courses. If course is taken “ for audit”, on a space available basis, there is no administrative fee per credit.. All students are assessed the MSUSA and Technology fees.
You are responsible for the cost of classes for which you are enrolled at the end of the sixth day of fall and spring semesters (second class day during summer). Failure to attend or pay tuition and fees will NOT affect the balance due. If you register for a class, you will be billed for it unless you drop it during the first five class days of the semester.
